Last week was filled with deadlines and studying. I am so relieved I am finished with this semester now! I also managed to buy 2 tickets to see Coldplay next summer—one in Philly on July 6 and the other right here in Jersey (15 minutes away!) on August 4. I’m sitting in Section 119 in Jersey and Section 123 in Philly. Since all the floor seats were gone, I got pretty lucky! I’m so excited!
Also, I think it’s significant to mention that I’ve said the words “He must be lonely” at least every day this past week, about different people. Previous scans here.

Something I find myself saying a lot lately. A peek at my planner this week so far. (Taken with instagram)

Had a lot of school work to do this week and now the week coming up is filled with my last review classes/final exams! The best news of the week was definitely when Coldplay announced a North American tour, finally! Can’t wait to see them live again.
Good luck to everyone who have final exams this week as well. I’m lucky because I only have two final exams, and the rest are 5 or 12 page papers/stories that I’ve been working on for weeks anyway, so it’s mostly about wrapping things up and making everything perfect!

A pretty festive spread this week. I wish I could say more, but I’m trying to beat the clock. However, I swear my Christmas tree does not look that horrible in person. (Is it me or is my handwriting getting even smaller?) Previous planner scans here.

Another week flew by so quickly that I hardly had any time to think. I had to come up with a new short story idea and decided to go with the title Better Villains, since “[We] deserve better villains” is one of my favorite lines from a movie. I love it, I think it’s very ironic and interesting and just a great phrase. I also got my Non-Fiction Book Proposal project assignment for my Book & Magazine Editing class on Thursday and seriously, I’ve never been more excited to work on such a massive project in my life. More details on that soon.
In other news, I started reading a new book for class and saying goodbye to Regis on Friday made me cry. Previous planner scans here.

This was such an odd week for me. I didn’t feel like myself all week (and cut class twice because I couldn’t be bothered) but the weekend was lovely because I earned some money making themes, had dinner with a friend of mine, watched Coldplay on SNL, finished a great book and bought a new purse! This week I had to say goodbye to one of the best months so far this year (second only to August, when I went to Chicago and Lollapalooza). It was also pretty cold, and Halloween was “canceled” because of a freak snow storm we had, and I read 228 pages in All The King’s Men and wrote another 2,000 words for my first short story and I had fun but I also felt very strange, like I wasn’t entirely myself. Here’s a little preview of my planner this week; will post the proper scan on Sunday, as always! I am not a very good artist (I’ll stick to creative writing) and never give any person I draw a face or fingers, so this will just have to do for now, at least until I get better at it. I’m a bit afraid to color it though, but isn’t that always the case?

This was a crazy week for me, especially since Mylo Xyloto finally released worldwide. I am in love with it; it has been on repeat since late Sunday night when I got my preorder download from iTunes early and I probably listened to it about 50 times already. I also had midterms this week, and although I only had 3/5 (one actually got postponed until tomorrow, but I’ve been studying for a week) I still had a lot to do!
We also got SNOW yesterday! So many trees fell on the roads and on parked cars and so many people lost power. Quite a few schools and universities had to close as well (hell, I wish mine did!) but thankfully my family and I had power; I actually spent Friday night over my boyfriend’s apartment and that storm started early Saturday so I didn’t budge! Ended up spending Saturday night there as well and we played Nintendo for a good 4 hours, it was worth it. XO Previous planner scans here.

It was such a music-filled week. Patrick Stump’s new album Soul Punk came out this week and there are quite a few gems on there, like Allie and Coast and The ‘I’ In Lie. I watched Coldplay live on KROQ before class on Tuesday and they released their Paradise video and then I saw them in NYC on Friday for the Today Show. They also released their Side B sample on Saturday! Their new album comes out tomorrow and I’m so pumped, I’ve been officially counting down to it since May, unofficially since last October. I also started reading a new book called Angels & Insects for my Contemporary Lit class, which so far I like, and I spent quite a few hours working on my Book & Magazine Editing midterm project. Exams are coming this week but I only have 3 out of 5 classes (and one of those is just a 5 page paper I’ve been working on for weeks, worth 50% of my grade). So I’m pretty lucky! This week was the start of my Mylo Xyloto countdown; I drew each symbol for each day of the week on my wrist. Tomorrow will be track #7 and officially 1 more week until the album releases! I have also been writing “don’t let it break your heart” absolutely everywhere; it’s the title of one of Coldplay’s new songs and I haven’t even heard it yet and I’m in love with it. Speaking of good music, this new band Science & Aesthetics released their first EP this week! They are wonderfully talented boys who I had the pleasure of interviewing this summer so you should really check out their music. I also got a Coldplay t-shirt made, which I plan on wearing to their concert soon. Pictures of that to come! Previous planner scans here.

Didn’t do much this week besides read some really great short stories for my classes. I also managed to finish Heart of Darkness and get my rough draft back from my professor, which surprisingly didn’t have any marks; he loved it! So many classmates have to rewrite it so I’m glad I don’t. It was also such a bummer that Steve Jobs died, he was incredible and will be missed dearly. Previous planner scans here.

This week I’ve been reading Heart of Darkness for my Literary Analysis class and it’s alright—it reminds me a bit of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Coleridge (which I enjoyed a lot) and Moby Dick by Melville (which I didn’t). I’ve also been sick this entire weekend and aside from watching Coldplay’s Rock in Rio livestream (which was amazing, by the way), I haven’t really left my bed. At least the short story I was working on all week called The Astronaut (I did end up combining The Ghost story with it!) is finished and ready for criticism. Also so thrilled that it’s finally October! Previous planner scans here.
