If you know me at all, you know I haven’t been well. I haven’t been sleeping enough, and when I do sleep, I have the strangest dreams. Dreams about endless hallways and overflowing sinks, dreams about people who never leave, dreams that stick with me for the rest of the day. The semester is ending and I’m buried under literature and analytical papers. My internship is ending and we’re busy deciding on our two final stories for submission. My tutoring job has been busy because everyone’s freaking out about finals. And being made Head Editor at Cliché has earned me tons of new, exciting and overwhelming responsibilities equipped with loads of e-mails. Friendships are ending, feelings are dying. I’m a mess now, but I know I’ll be okay soon. Summer vacation is coming.

I have been listening to The Fray and Coldplay on repeat all day long, particularly Ungodly Hour and Moving to Mars, while doing tons of homework and reading and thinking. My bus was 25 minutes late so I was 15 minutes late to work but the good news is it wasn’t busy at all, I caught up with some friends, and spoke to a very nice stranger. While waiting for my ride, he said, “Great night, huh?” and I said, “It sure is,” and that made me happier than most things have lately.

Friday night, and the only thing I’ve managed to do all day was go grocery shopping with my mother, finish If on a winter’s night a traveler (SO GOOD), and start Roadie: My Life on the Road With Coldplay (SO FUN). They are really good reads but lately I’ve just been a little lonely. One of the main reasons I’m smiling is because today it was 50 degrees.

Merry Christmas (Eve) everyone! I haven’t worn this skirt in months, I missed it!
This afternoon I received my gift from Miquella in the mail, I’m so excited to open it tomorrow! I already exchanged gifts with a few of my friends but I’ll be seeing more of them tonight and tomorrow—we’re having a little get together at my place (as usual!) tonight so I’m waiting for my boyfriend and his friends to get here!

I downloaded the ShakeItPhoto app on my iPhone a while ago when it was on sale for $0.99 but haven’t really used it much since I’m much more of an Instagram user instead. However—it’s fun turning all my old photos into mock polaroids!

This is the face of a big-eyed girl who no longer has any classes until Jan 18.
Lately I’ve been listening to the saddest songs (like Up In Flames and This Is Not A Song). Strangely they are the only things keeping me afloat. It’s a huge weight off my shoulders now that the semester is over, and now I can just focus on revamping my Themes site (big changes coming for the New Year) and reading books I’ve wanted to read for months but couldn’t because I had to read other books for school (although I did enjoy All The King’s Men). I’m already starting to miss the few friends I made in my English classes here at WPU but it’s no matter—lately I’ve just been in the mood to be alone and think, or alone with one person and talk. There have been a few times this month were I went out with a friend for hot chocolate and we talked—him about school and girls and me about music and bad friends—but something’s wrong. Something’s missing. Next time I’ll just stay home.
I just like when they say, Megan? What should I do?

Another photobooth shot of me from the other day; forgot to post it! Today was my boyfriend’s 23rd birthday so I’ve been hanging out with him all day. I got him his favorite chocolates and Infinity Blade II for the iPhone, he LOVES that game. I’ve also got my last mini final tomorrow and have to hand in my Fiction Writing portfolio and then I’m DONE!
Since I’m almost on winter break I’ve been thinking about some new themes to make for TBM. If you have any requests/ideas, send them over! I also changed my own theme today to try something new out, and I’m interested to know what you think!
