Looking Back on 2011
January. Spent it reading all the books I got for Christmas, playing loads of DS, and writing in my new journal.
February. For Valentine’s Day my boyfriend got me the sheet music to my favorite piano song and learned how to play it for me. ♥
March. I turned 20 and had a wonderful little birthday!
April. Worked my little butt off, read a lot, and met up with friends several times a week to study for final exams.
May. Since the semester was over, I finally caught up on some writing.
June. Cliché Magazine relaunched, Coldplay released their first new song off of Mylo Xyloto (although the name of the album was, at the time, still unknown to the public), and I made 5 years with my boyfriend and he took me to see a lighthouse!
July. Did quite a bit of shopping to prepare for my road trip to Chicago! Bought new shoes, new tops, and packed my Fujifilm Instax! Also played Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light for the DS like a maniac.
August. Road trip! Drove with my boyfriend 7 hours to Cleveland and visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, then drove another 7 hours to Chicago to see Coldplay (and Bright Eyes and The Kills) at the Lollapalooza festival! They put on an INCREDIBLE show! Spent 3 nights in Chicago and visited every little attraction and museum we could.
September. New semester at WPU and tried to get back into the swing of school after being on break for 4 long months!
October. AKA Coldplay Fangirling Month. Got a Coldplay tee made, saw Coldplay again for the second time in New York City (where I snagged this free poster) and Mylo Xyloto finally released on 10/24 (not to mention I painted my nails to read Mylo Xyloto)!
November. Tried sketching again in my planner, and had several stories to read and write for my Fiction Writing, Contemporary Lit, and Literary Analysis classes!
December. Lots of parties, get-togethers, and hangouts this month now that the semester ended. The holidays always make me so happy! Can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for me.
